J-F Robert "Cast"

BIO

Jean-François “Cast” Robert was born in 1978. He grew up in “the plan” Jeanne-Mance habitations for low-income families. Hip hop music and culture was part of his journey from a young age. It was in 95 that he adopts the nickname “Cast” and leaves his mark as a graffiti artist.
In 2012, he became a dad, he decided to quit the music industry and develop his passion for urban photography, and the creation of visual content. Through his journey he’s collaborated with known social personalities and travel to some of the world’s largest cities. He now leaves his mark as a graffiti artist, photographer, artist manager, producer and wishes to make his return to the music industry with Ultra Nova Club. 
In 2004 he founded 13 Deep Records label with Kamenga Mbikay (SP, Sans Pression) which produced albums for artists such as Sans Pression, Joe B.G. and Triezieme Etage. He’s collaborated with Éric Lapointe, Georges St-Pierre, Alonzo (Psy 4 de la Rime), Akhénaton (IAM) and other international artists. He’s also completed a SAJE program on the forming and starting of enterprises which allowed his to obtain grants and bursaries from the Fondation du Maire de Montreal, Musication, SODEC, Fonds radio star, Videofact and the Canadian Council of Arts.
